നേഴ്സിംഗ് വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനിയുടെ ആത്മഹത്യ: കൊലക്കുറ്റത്തിന് കേസെടുക്കണം- ഹിന്ദു ഐക്യവദി
കോട്ടയം: അര്ഹതയുണ്ടായിട്ടും ബാങ്ക് അധികൃതര് വായ്പ നിഷേധിച്ചതിനെത്തുടര്ന്ന് നേഴ്സിംഗ് വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനി ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്ത സംഭവത്തിനുത്തരവാദികളായ കുടമാളൂറ് പുളിഞ്ചുവട് എച്ച്ഡിഎഫ്സി ബാങ്ക് അധികൃതര്ക്കെതിരെ കൊലക്കുറ്റത്തിന് കേസെടുക്കണമെന്ന് ഹിന്ദുഐക്യവേദി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏപ്രില് ൧൭നാണ് കുടമാളൂറ് ഗോപികയില് ശ്രീകാന്തിണ്റ്റെയും ബിന്ദുവിണ്റ്റെയും മകള് ശ്രുതി എന്ന വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനി ബാങ്ക് വായ്പ നിഷേധിച്ചതിനെത്തുടര്ന്ന് ആത്മഹത്യയ്ക്ക് ശ്രമിച്ചത്. ഇന്നലെ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനി കോട്ടയം മെഡിക്കല് കോളേജില് അന്തരിച്ചു. മരിച്ച വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനിയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്ക്ക് അര്ഹമായ നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നല്കിയില്ലെങ്കില് കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ എച്ച്ഡിഎഫ്സി ബാങ്കുകളും ഹിന്ദു ഐക്യവേദി ഉപരോധിക്കുന്നതാണ്. നിര്ദ്ധനരായ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളെ ദ്രോഹിക്കുന്ന നയം ബാങ്കുകള് പുനഃപരിശോധിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില് വിവിധ പ്രക്ഷോഭ പരിപാടികള്ക്ക് ഹിന്ദു ഐക്യവേദി രൂപം കൊടുക്കുമെന്ന് ഭാരവാഹികളായ പി.സി.സുരേന്ദ്രദാസ്, എം.വി.ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണന്, ശ്രീകാന്ത് തിരുവഞ്ചൂറ്, പി.പി.രണരാജന്, എം.എസ്.മനു എന്നിവര് അറിയിച്ചു.
പുതുതലമുറ ബാങ്കുകള് കള്ളപ്പലിശ വാങ്ങുന്ന തെമ്മാടികള്
കോട്ടയം: വായ്പയെടുക്കുന്നവരില് നിന്ന് കൊളളപ്പലിശയും കള്ളപ്പലിശയും വാങ്ങുന്ന വിശ്വസിക്കാന് കൊള്ളാത്ത തെമ്മാടികളാണ് പുതുതലമുറ ബാങ്കുകളെന്ന് എസ്.എന്.ഡി.പി യോഗം ജനറല് സെക്രട്ടറി വെള്ളാപ്പള്ളി നടേശന്. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വായ്പ അനുവദിക്കാതിരുന്നതിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് പെണ്കുട്ടി ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്ത സംഭവത്തോട് പ്രതികരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. വായ്പക്ക് വാങ്ങുന്ന പലിശ കൂടുതലാണെന്ന കാര്യം വായ്പയെടുത്തയാള് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചാല് പലിശ കുറക്കും. അതേ സമയം വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വായ്പ നല്കാത്ത ദേശസാല്കൃത ബാങ്കുകളുടെ നിലപാടും തെറ്റാണ്. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന് വായ്പ നല്കണമെന്ന് നിയമം അനുശാസിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് ഇതു നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

Suicide of Shruthi Srikanth
The suicide of Shruthi Srikanth, the nursing student, who failed to get an education loan from HDFC bank is a sad incident. It is not Shruthi the first one to meet such a tragic end of life.
Two aspects are to be considered in this case. The callous attitude of some of the commercial banks is the first one. Though the government claims they have done much for educating students by way of bank loan, many deserving students fail to get it from banks. The new generation banks like HDFC work only for profit making and their sole consideration is in the field of granting loans for vehicle purchase and accept public deposts at a meagre interest. They stipulate a minimum balance of Rs 5000 for SB and hence this bank is inaccessible poor people. The social commitment new generation banks is very poor. The officers of these bank s work at high pressure to make profit, where education loan has no attraction. It is a burden to them.
The second aspect is the never ending desire of poor parents to make their children doctors, engineers and nurses. India is a socialist country only in words where poor are always poor and rich are getting richer. The lack of better information and counseling is a reason for students and parents to fall as prey in the hands of greedy self financing colleges inside and outside the state.
Unless something is done more bright students like Shruthi Srikanth have to end up in despair. Endless wait for a bank loan is a serious problem among students admitted to self finance colleges where the fee is far beyond any reckon.
